Food Is Fuel!

Health means so much more than just avoiding illness. It means having the ability to use all of your being – the imagination, the intellect, the senses, and the physical strength – to your greatest potential. An individual who is buoyantly healthy develops enormous vitality and an affinity with everyone and everything around him.

True health is about nurturing the whole being, and it all begins with how we eat. How we nourish ourselves day after day, year after year.

Simple wholesome, natural food supports the energy-producing functions of the body and allows for vigorous health through which our body’s greatest potential can shine. Total and true health cannot be supported by a diet made up of highly processed, convenient foods that are as far from nature as possible.

Preservatives, chemical additives, and inappropriate fats and sugars have a highly detrimental effect on our body and its behavior. It creates an imbalance in the homeostasis and lowers the immunity, but also affects us in mental, physical, and emotional ways.

My suggestion is to stay as close to mother earth as possible. It can be a challenge at first but after cleaning up your food habits, your body will go through the most amazing changes. When you stick with a diet that consist of grains, lean proteins, vegetables, and fruit, your body recognizes them as true superfuel, and starts acting accordingly. Your energy shoots up, your organs clean themselves naturally, and if there has been a sugar addiction present, it will subside, and you will have a healthy body and a clear and present mind.

Anything you put in your body will determine how you look and feel. We all know we should eat right, but what is “right” and effective for the body? Why is it so hard to stay focused when it comes to what fuels our life force? First and foremost we have to deal with a diet myths that are constantly perpetuated around us, especially in the media. Low carb, high protein, fat and protein, Atkins and Zone and everything else. It can be difficult to know what is true in a jungle of what we think is professional advice but is really a way to make business.

In order to facilitate a positive change, we need to adopt a new paradigm of thinking. Food is fuel. Not comfort, and not a family reunion festival in insulin. It is fuel for the body so that we can function in the best way possible. The human body requires 6 basic nutrients: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. The only reason we eat is to supply the body with these 6 life savers. Let’s eliminate the diet mentality and embrace a whole new future. Now we eat to create life force!
