This time of year can feel tough with all the places to go, people to see, shopping to get done, and tempting treats everywhere … But no excuses! Here are 10 ways to stay fit and happy over the next couple of weeks:
- Prep for your holiday eating fest by adding an extra 20 minutes to your workouts.
- When you’re out shopping, go for the stairs! Every time!
- Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water throughout the day.
- Work out first thing in the morning so you have time for evening shopping or parties.
- Invest in the best travel workout tool: a jump rope!
- Do high-intensity interval training, which burns a lot of calories in a short amount of time.
- Don’t be a wallflower at parties: dance your booty off!
- Relieve stress with a 30-minute stress relief workout or back and chest expansion.
- Avoid the temptation to “save” your calories for a big meal. Eating regular, balanced meals and snacks will keep your metabolism healthy.
- Take your loved ones out hiking, ice skating, or walking through the neighborhood with the prettiest holiday light displays.
