A: Hi, Edmundo! Protein is one of the most important nutrients, required for the body to regenerate fibers such as hair, nails, and muscles. Protein also has a lot to do with the transport of nutrients, oxygen, and water through the entire body. We satisfy our need for protein by eating, among other things, animal products such as meat, eggs, milk products, and fish. It is also found in legumes.
Many of my colleagues use Muscle Milk, and even though I don’t use any additional gainers myself, I understand the importance of providing enough protein to maintain muscle mass. If this is what you are looking for, you should definitely choose a good blend where there is predominantly protein in the mixture and less carbohydrates, and the protein is of good quality; whey is recommended. Good brands include GNC and Advocare.
